Welcome
to the
Seven Stars Inn
The
Seven Stars Inn, Aberedw offers a friendly Welsh welcome, whether you are just
having a relaxing drink with friends or staying in the comfortable well
appointed ‘4 star’ WTB approved accommodation.
The original beams,
traditional slate interior décor and cosy log fire in cold weather,
offer a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere throughout the year. A beautiful
inn, nestled in the Heart of the Welsh Countryside. We provide a choice
of Real Ales and was recently awarded the CAMRA ‘Best Pub’
Award.
The Seven Stars Inn is situated in the heart of ‘Llewellyn Country’,
at the mouth of the river Edw.(Aberedw means ‘mouth of the river
Edw’ in Welsh) and at the head of the picturesque Edw Valley, which
has been quoted as the most beautiful valley in Britain (Shell Guide).
Prince Llewellyn is said to be the last of the true Welsh princes. We
are surrounded by the many fascinating places associated with this historic
figure. Places like ‘Llewellyn’s Cave’ close to the
village, where it is said that the Prince spent maybe his last night hidden
in this tiny cave nestling in the Aberedw Rocks. Neighboring Cilmery is
where it is said that he was finally beheaded, before his head was taken
to be displayed on London Bridge.
Aberedw is not only situated in an idyllic setting amongst the Aberedw
hills and river valley but is also conveniently placed for touring by
car and visiting, for example, Builth Wells and the Royal Welsh Showground
(5 mins. by car) Brecon and the Beacons National Park (20 mins.) Hay-on-Wye
(20 mins.) Elan Valley (30 mins.) Llanwrtyd Wells, smallest town in Wales
(30 mins.)
The venue is ideal for relaxing as well as many activities including walking,
cycling, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, gliding, paragliding etc. |
